Ways we give back to our community
At Vitality PT, we believe in giving back to our community. Watch these videos to show the dedication of Sophia and Jenny to help those with Parkinson's through recreational activities and education.
Up ENDing Parkinsons
We're thrilled to announce that our very own co-owner Dr. Sophia Dalabakis, is the ambassador for the Up Ending Parkinson's (UEP) Charlotte Locations!
UEP offers an incredible rehabilitation experience for those with Parkinson's through the exhilarating world of rock climbing. No matter your stage of Parkinson's or any fears you might have, everyone is welcome, and everyone try it!
It is free for Parkinson's participants, we will continue to do fundraising to mitigate the costs.

Freezing of Gait with Parkison's Association of the Carolinas (PAC)
Sophia and Jenny had the privilege of working with PAC to explore Freezing of Gait (FoG). In this discussion, we cover the fundamental anatomy of Parkinson's, explain what FoG is, and share how therapists approach FoG to enhance balance, decrease fall risk and create a safer home environment.
Memory and Movement
Sophia had the chance to converse with Dr. Iyer, a local Neurologist specializing in Parkinson's. They talked about what Parkinson's disease is, discussed how physical therapy can help and explored emerging treatments for it. Additionally, Rachel and Tony shared their personal experiences with Parkinson's and their strategies for managing the disease.
