What Are PWR! Moves?


PWR! Moves are a set of foundational, high-amplitude exercises specifically designed for people with Parkinson’s. These movements are built around four key patterns:


  • PWR! Up – Improving posture

  • PWR! Rock – Enhancing weight shifting

  • PWR! Twist – Promoting trunk rotation

  • PWR! Step – Supporting transitions and mobility


Each movement targets common motor symptoms of PD, such as stiffness, slowness, and reduced movement size.


Why Big Movements Matter

Parkinson’s can cause movements to become smaller and slower over time. This is often referred to as “bradykinesia.” PWR! Moves focus on training the brain and body to move with bigger, more intentional effort.
